Adam M. Tenenbaum (of-counsel) is an attorney and strategic advisor who works with principals, family offices, and organizations on legal, governance, and advisory matters that cut across personal, business, and ownership interests.
Adam serves as fractional house counsel and trusted advisor to principals, family office structures, and organizations, providing judgment, strategic guidance, and coordination in situations that do not fit neatly within a single legal or business silo. His work includes general legal counsel; advising on ownership and governance questions; supporting boards and committees; navigating disputes and conflicts; and coordinating specialist legal counsel across a wide range of legal, business, and governance matters, particularly where issues are complex, cross-disciplinary, or consequential, and where integrity, clarity, and execution matter as much as technical expertise.
Adam’s practice also includes the practical implementation of legal, structural, and operational arrangements for family offices. He frequently acts as a central point of coordination among trustees, accountants, bankers, and outside advisors, working closely with principals and their teams to move decisions from strategy to execution.
In addition to his fractional house counsel and family office work, Adam works with trial teams and witnesses on litigation strategy and testimony-readiness. He assists counsel and witnesses in clarifying case themes, understanding litigation posture, and preparing for depositions and trial testimony, and advises on settlement posture and negotiation strategy as matters develop. Drawing on his experience with complex matters and expert witnesses, Adam helps identify strategic risks, sharpen communication, and ensure that testimony and negotiation strategy align with the broader objectives of the case.
Adam has held senior legal and leadership roles in professional services and institutional environments, including serving as Vice President & Deputy General Counsel to a global consulting firm, as President and CEO of a single-family office and private trust company, and has served on and advised boards on governance, risk, and complex legal issues.
